Overview
Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. At the center of its stately street grid (notable in India) stands the opulent, colonnaded City Palace complex. With gardens, courtyards and museums, part of it is still a royal residence.
Jaipur, the desert capital of India, popularly known as the Pink City is the land of palaces, lakes, maharajas, alluring architecture. The rich Rajput culture and their glorious past is perspicuously reflected in the lifestyle and the infrastructure of the tourist places in Jaipur.
Itinerary Details
- Upon your arrival at Jaipur Railway Station/Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Later, set out to explore some of the magnificent sites of the Pink City such as City Palace, Hawa Mahal and the famous Jantar Mantar, the famous World Heritage Site.
- Post breakfast; embark on a Jaipur sightseeing tour of the magnificent Amber Fort. You will have an option to take a short elephant ride up to the fort. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the Pink City on your own.
- In the morning, check out of the hotel and get transferred to the Jaipur Airport/Railway Station.
